Indonesian Idol is a talent show Pop Idol which was adopted from the (UK) with the sponsorship of FremantleMedia who cooperate with the RCTI. It was the idol search in singing field. Indonesian Idol has become the biggest reality show in Indonesia. After the emergence of Indonesian Idol, a lot of other reality shows are aired. [Citation needed]
Indonesian Idol won the Panasonic Award for Best Music & Variety Show for 3consecutive years (2005, 2006 and 2007), beat Indosiar Fantasy Academy and KDI arelocated on the same nomination. Indonesian Idol also received an award from theSingapore Tourism Board at the eleventh Indonesian Idol finalist was in Singapore to be an opening tour of the world's third season of American Idol.
But after the fifth season, the show was stopped because the ratings are declining ,and resumed his sixth season in 2010. So since 2008, Indonesian Idol held two years.
