Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources indonesia died

Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Widjajono Partowidagdo died during a climb of Mount Tambora, West Nusa Tenggara, said the Head of Legal and Public Relations of the Ministry of Energy, Susyanto when contacted in Jakarta, Saturday (04/21/2012).

"Just now, we can be this sad news. We are sorry for your loss deeply. Indonesia lost one of its best sons," he said.

Previously reported, he suddenly limp when climbing. Three helicopters from Basarnas, Police, and PT Newmont Widjajono deployed to evacuate. However, thick fog hampered the evacuation.

"Newmont had deployed helicopters to evacuate but returned because of bad weather," said Head of Mataram Marsudi SAR, who was contacted from Mataram, Saturday.

Evacuation finally carried through the land. SAR teams use vehicles to reach the Widjajono.

"We're trying to move into the mountains using a motor vehicle to which venom. Then walk to the position he is," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of Mining and Energy (Distemben) Sutedjo Bambang Eko NTB said the team was originally going to bring Wamen EMR evacuation to a hospital in Denpasar, Bali, using a helicopter directly from the mountainous region of Tambora.However, helicopters PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara (PTNNT) is used for air evacuation, difficulty landing.

"Bad weather, a helicopter again. Now being attempted evacuation of land and is expected to be implemented. We also 'stand by' case will be brought to the department of NTB in first Mataram," he said.

Eko claimed to have received certain information about the ascent of Mount Tambora made Widjajono up in critical condition when the climb.

He estimates the climb made early on Saturday, or the day before, as rumored Widjajono and his colleagues wanted to climb Mount Tambora since April 19.

Widjajono adventurous hiking known since college and participate in the organization of nature lovers at the Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB).

Mount Tambora which has a height 2815 meters above sea level, located in the district of Dompu and Bima, Sumbawa, NTB. Mount Tambora volcano categorized as type A is still showing activity after the year 1600.

Tambora volcano eruption in recorded history paroksimal in 1815, which led to buried three kingdoms namely the Kingdom of Concentrated, Tambora and Studio, and killed about 92 thousand people.
